Update on the investigation into two shooting incidents last week in Clinton

One of the suspects in a shooting incident being sought by Clinton Police turned himself in – after an attempt to locate the suspect was issued by the Clinton Police on Friday.

 

Last Tuesday the Police and Fire Department units responded to Shell Central at 401 2nd Avenue South on a report of man being shot.  The victim had fled the scene by the time crews arrived.   The 35 year old male victim was located at a residence in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue South with a single gunshot wound.

 

On Friday – The attempt to locate was issued for 25 year old Saul D. Jackson in connection to that shooting.

Early Saturday morning-Jackson contacted the Police Department to turn himself in.  He was arrested in the 200 block of 6th Avenue North without incident.  Jackson was charged with Willful injury and Possession of a firearm by a felon..

 

 

There was a second shooting last Tuesday – and one person has been arrested in connection to that case and the Police Department issued an attempt to locate another notice for another suspect in that case on Friday.

 

That inciddent occurred at an apartment in the 300 block of 2nd Avenue South.  One person was injured in that shooting.

Police arrested 26 year old Marquis D. Winston of Clinton for first-degree burglary in connection to a shooting in the 300 blocks of First Avenue and Second Avenue South.

 

On Friday the attempt to locate was issued for another suspect in connection to that shooting.  Police are looking for 24 year old Tryone Terrell Harris of Clinton in connection to that case.
