Great Green Garden Show

The Great Green Garden Show is hosted by Horticulturist Margo Hansen. The show airs each Saturday morning from 9:15 am to 9:30 am. Margo will answer listener phone call questions during the show.

Hansen is a 1978 horticulture graduate of Iowa State University in Ames who is widely known in the Clinton area. She worked 10 years as lawn and garden department manager at Paul’s Discount Store. She previously worked for Burpee Seed when it had a customer service and mail-order center in Clinton, she owned and operated the Gateway Garden Center for 16 years and was the director of programs at the Clinton Community College’s Bickelhaupt Arboretum for the past 11 years.

Margo has also written and published a book. Titled “Down on the Farm: Margo’s Memories,” the paperback is a collection of stories from growing up on a Davenport dairy farm in the ‘60s and ‘70s.
