Have you cleared enough snow yet?

The weekend snow storm set some snowfall records in the Clinton area.

Clinton Area Official Weather Observer Jim Blaess says the official snowfall total is 12.1 inches.  He says that is the most snow in a 24 hour period in November.  Blaess says the old record was 9.3 inches on November 14th and 15th in 1997.

The National Weather Service has unofficial snowfall reports across Clinton County ranging from 7 inches in the western part of the county to 14.5 inches in the Clinton area.

The weather observer says it is the most snow in any 24 hour period since 13.5 inches on January 1st and 2nd in 1999.

For the month, Blaess says there’s been 15.1 inches of snow and that is the most in a November since 10.3 inches in 1997.

Blaess says the normal snowfall in November is 1.6 inches.

Blaess also said that so far this month there have been three days with normal or above temperatures.  Those days were the 7th – the 23rd and the 24th.
