Governmental meetings this week include the Clinton County Board, Camanche, Riverbend and DeWitt & Northeast School Boards plus the Camanche, DeWitt and Clinton City Councils. ‘Read more’ for details and links to the agendas for the meetings.
The Clinton County Board has a regular Monday morning session.
Among the topics on the agenda is the proposal for the city of Clinton to turn the city owned property at the Railport Industrial Park over the county to satisfy a loan from the county for the development of the site. In 2009 the County Board agreed to loan the city six-million dollars for the park. It was to be repaid through the sale of land at the site with the remainder due after ten years. The city still owes about 5-point-2 million dollars.
The Supervisors meet at 9:15 at the County Administration Building.

The Camanche School Board will be meeting Monday evening. At the session the Board could appoint Albert McManus to fill a vacancy on the board until the next school board elections. At the November meeting board member Tia Nauman resigned.

The Riverbend School Board also meets Monday evening.
The board of the Fulton, Illinois based district will hear a report on construction projects under consideration.
The meeting will be at 6:30 today (December 17) at the district office in Fulton.

The DeWitt City Council meets on Monday evening at 7 o’clock at City hall.

The Camanche City Council will be meeting on Tuesday-November 18th at 6 pm in a regular session.
Among the items is the approval of the hiring of two new police officers.

The Northeast School Board has a regular meeting on Wednesday this week.
There are two closed session planned for employee evaluations.
The meeting will have the first closed session at 5:30 and the business meeting starting at 6 pm at the Northeast Elementary Library.

The Central DeWitt School Board will be meeting on Wednesday. The session will be at 6 pm at the Middle School Media Center.

The Clinton City Council has a special session on Thursday morning. It will be a session to handle end-of-the business. The agenda will be issued later. The meeting is scheduled for 9:30 at city hall.
