(statement issued from Clinton City Hall) –
MERGE LLC has withdrawn its Planning Option Agreement with the City for development along the City’s riverfront. Accordingly, the public hearing scheduled for September 10, 2019 is effectively canceled as no Agreement remains for discussion or comment.
The plan moving forward is to hold several town meetings to provide more background information on MERGE LLC, what a planning option entails, and to open the discussion regarding development along Clinton’s riverfront. Meeting dates are to be determined and will be released at a later date.
