Two lucky Clinton County residents have won the United Way of Clinton County, Iowa (UWCCI) Winter Getaway Giveaway.
1st Prize Winner Cathy Marx had the prize choice of either $1000 cash or accommodation at Scottsdale Camelback Resort in Arizona, valued at $1400. Cathy chose a trip to Arizona,
this left the 2nd Prize of $1000 for Joanne Hermiston.
The raffle winners were drawn at the UWCCI December 18, 2019 Campaign Report event.
This year’s raffle prizes were donated by local businesses Air Control, Inc. and Witt’s IT Care. The Winter Getaway Giveaway raised almost $2000 for UWCCI, towards its annual goal of $650,000. The campaign actively seeks gifts through early 2020.
Contributions to UWCCI stay in Clinton County to help local children get a strong start in life, enter school ready to succeed and build critical reading skills, to help local individuals and families get a quality education and tools to get jobs that will support a family, and increase local families’ access to health care, healthier foods, activities, and environments.
