Governmental Meetings This Week

The Clinton School Board, Fulton City Council, Clinton City Council and Clinton County Board are scheduled to meet this week.

The Clinton School Board has a Committee Of The Whole Session on Monday.  The board meets at 5:30 at the Administrative Center.  The board will hear an update about the mental health services program offered in the buildings and an updated on the Gateway Learning Center.

The Fulton City Council will be meeting Monday evening.  The business meeting starts at 5:30 with Committee Of The Whole Session following the business meeting.

The Clinton City Council has a regular meeting on Tuesday.

Among the consent agenda items are resolutions city support and financial support for the two business expansions that were announced on Friday.  The Nestle Purina and Timkin Drives expansions and additional jobs received state financial support on Friday.

Also on the agenda are several public hearings, including hearings on capital improvement projects proposed for the city.

The council will also consider formal approval of the first reading establishing a franchise fee on utility bills.

The council meeting will be Tuesday afternoon at 5 o’clock at City Hall.

The Clinton County Board has a meeting on Wednesday this week.  Among the items for the Supervisors to consider is an appointment to fill an upcoming vacancy as Clinton County Treasurer.  Long-time Treasurer Rhonda McIntyre announced her retirement in the middle of a recently re-elected term.  The appointed individual would fill the post until the election in November and could run for the remainder of the term in that election.
