Timber Lake Playhouse (TLP), the premier professional summer theatre of northwest Illinois, announces the postponement of the first concert in TLP’s newly expanded Concert Series. Following the recommendations of the Center of Disease Control, TLP will postpone the Oh Boys! concert planned for next Friday, March 20, to a later date. TLP will also reschedule local auditions scheduled for March 29 to April 26.
“We at TLP have been looking forward to opening the theatre earlier this season and we understand the disappointment with this decision,” stated Dan Danielowski, Executive Director. “We also understand how we all must do our part in mitigating the spread of this disease and look forward to opening the theatre later this spring.”
Over the next few weeks, the TLP office will be closed as staff will be working from home. Phone calls and emails will continue to be answered.
If you have tickets purchased for the March 20 concert, those tickets and seat assignments will automatically transfer to the new date once TLP has determined what will work with The Oh Boys! and TLP. Ticket holders who cannot make the rescheduled date have two options. The ticket price can be used for any other TLP production or the ticket price can be refunded.
“We will monitor the situation and our decisions will be made day to day,” said Danielowski. Watch for news regarding TLP’s April concert, Rosie and the Rivets and other events at Timber Lake Playhouse, Your Theatre in the Woods.
