Increases in Clinton County Coronavirus Cases Connected To Events With Identified Clusters In Camanche Area

While earlier increases coronavirus cases in Clinton County had been scattered around the county according to Clinton County Public Health Manager Michelle Cullen – but as she updated the Board of Supervisors Monday – she said there has been an identified increase in the Camanche area.

Cullen said they continue to ask people to quarantine for 14 days if they are in the contact group.

Cullen says the update for Sunday shows 236 confirmed cases in the county with 143 considered active.

She there had been an average of 8 or 9 cases a day – but the trend is for more people spreading the virus to more people.  She says the spread appears related to events.

Cullen said the symptoms of the cases have been varied.

Also in the coronavirus update at the Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday – Clinton County Mike Wolf explained the court’s efforts to conduct jury selection is a safe manner with proper social distancing.  Wolf said they are working on a lease to use the Masonic Lodge for jury selection Monday.

Wolf said the state is recommending they make plan for 6 to 18 months.  The County Attorney says the Masons are flexible on the use of the facility and want to help out.

The Supervisors also updated the policies to limit curb side service for county services except at the elected officials or department head discretion.
