A Clinton man was killed in a traffic accident last night in Clinton.
The Iowa Highway Patrol investigated the crash at the intersection of North 4th Street and 8th Avenue North.
The crash report shows a vehicle driven by 25 year old Riley Stephens was south bound on North 4th Street when a car driven by 47 year old Reid Anderson was turning left from 8th Avenue North on North 4th Street and was hit by the Stephens vehicle. Stephens vehicle continued off the street and hit a tree. The Iowa State Patrol reports 79 year old James Peterson was killed in the crash. The report does not specify which vehicle he was in.
Riley Stephens was transported to the University Of Iowa Hospital by Medforce helicopter with injuries from the crash.
