In one on the ballot contested Clinton City Council race – Bill Schemers was re-elected t the council. However he has been serving as an At-Large member and ran for the First Ward. In the unofficial results he gained 187 votes against Samuel Peters with 55.
There were two At-Large seats on the ballot and two candidates. Nancy Witt earned 1,127 votes and Eartha Davis received 675. But, Les Shields ran a write-in campaign for an At-Large seat on the Clinton City Council and he received 461 votes.
Other candidates running for re-election were not opposed. Cody Seeeley received 362 votes in the 2nd Ward – Ron Mussman received 369 votes for the Third Ward seat.

There was one Clinton School Board member running for re-election with four seats n the ballot. In the unofficial results, Ann Reed was re-elected with 1,184 votes. Andy Fergurson gained 1,041 votes and Jennifer Austin had 1,1040 votes and Tarron Borgeson received 686 to gain the other seats.
Kenyon Clark had 681 and Marlee Nimmick had 555 votes in the unofficial results.
In Camanche there will be a change in the leadership of the council with a new Mayor.
Austin Pruett gained the most votes in a three-way race for the position that was ‘open’ as Mayor Trevor Willis did not seek another term.
In the unofficial results Pruett received 570 votes. Current council member Paul Varner received 306 and Justin McClure had 40 votes. Varner’s term on the council continues for a couple of more years.
There were three seats on the Camanche Council on the ballot andTwo incumbents and one newcomer gained the most votes in the initial results.
Incumbent Danny Weller received 555 votes and Dave Bowman received 519 votes with Robert Determann was third with 432 votes. Current member Brent Brightman received 406 votes and Jenny Hesse received 384 votes.

On the Camanche School Board there were three seats on the ballot. Stacy Kinkaid would be re-elected to another term. She gained 666 votes. That was second in the totals as new coming Rich Klahn received 695 Kelli Sullivan received 589 for the third seats. Janna Linville received 390 votes as a 4th candidate on the ballot.
There were two current Camanche School Board members who did not run.
The County Board will meet next week to begin the process to canvass the votes
