Friday, December 3rd
5:00 PM- 9:00 PM
SANTA ARRIVES: The Festival Committee welcomes Santa and Mrs. Claus to town by his house in front of Maquoketa State Bank. Santa officially opens the weekend festivities with a Welcome ceremony and Lighting of the Christmas House where Santa will listen to children’s Christmas wishes for the holiday season.
9:00 AM- 5:00 PM–
–Clinton National Bank Open House. Refreshments
Noon- 6:00 PM–
–Maquoketa State Bank Open House. Refreshments
9:00 AM- 6:00 PM– Gator Graphics Open House
4:00 PM -8:00 PM–
-Open House at Kunau’s Old Fire Station/City Hall Building
5:00 PM- 9:00 PM at the Preston Town Hall–
–Parade of Trees with 45+ decorated trees and Holiday Displays sponsored by the local businesses, individuals and organizations in the Preston area.
–Girl Scouts will serve cider, coffee and cookies
–Chances available for locally crafted quilt other prizes. Cost- $1.00 each
5:00 PM- 8:00 PM around town–
–Nativity Walk- Sanctuary at St. John’s Lutheran Church,
–Wine Tasting at Hartig Drug: Iowa Grape Vine from 5-7 PM. Open until 8 PM
-Wassail and Treats- Clover Ridge sponsoring. At Preston Public Library
-LYO Wreaths and Décor Sales-Preston Public Library
– Local Sales– St. John’s Cookbooks, 4-H cookbooks, Book bags, North Bend items and others at the Preston Public Library.
–PAC 4 Kids will have a theme basket raffle at the Preston Public Library
–Variety of Crafts Sale, American Legion Building- 104 North Main, Preston- Crafts, Tupperware, Christmas Decorations, Quilts, Hats, Scarves, towels, baby items, American Legion Bake Sale, and more
–Knights of Columbus #11222 Soup Supper– St. Joe’s Catholic Church- Soups, sandwiches and desserts served
– Cookie Walk– Mile Improvement Committee and Preston Park Committee- Proceeds to be divided between each of the Park Projects
6:00 PM- 8:00 PM around town-
–Preston Park Committee/Peppermint Park- Cocoa and S’mores sales outside Christiansen Coffee Company (Across from the Library). Dressember Informational Display by Jordan Ehlers will also be available.
Saturday, December 4th
10:00 AM- 11:30 AM
– Holiday Story Hour at the Preston Public Library- Stories, Crafts and Treats
8:00 AM- 4:00 PM– Hartig Drug open extended hours for shopping open house.
8:00 AM- 11:00 AM– Bake sale at the American Legion
9:00 AM-5:00PM–-Norwax– Bonnie Yaddof- 303 North Mitchell
10:00 AM- 8:00 PM at the Preston Town Hall–
–Parade of Trees with 45+ decorated trees and Holiday Displays sponsored by the local businesses, individuals and organizations in the Preston area.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the Harvest Heights (aka: Marvin Addition). Mayor Sieverding and other guest speakers will share a few words to celebrate this groundbreaking event.

-Open House at Kunau’s Old Fire Station/City Hall Building
6:00 PM around town
– 2nd Annual Lighted Christmas Parade- Follows main parade route around town. Line-up at St. Joe’s Catholic Church at 5PM. Santa and various craft activities will be available at the Preston Fires Station after the parade.

RAFFLE DRAWING AT 2:00 PM at the Preston Town Hall
11:00 AM- Noon around town–
–PAC 4 Kids will have a theme basket raffle at the Preston Public Library- Noon Drawing Time
