A plan to limit parking to one side of the street in various locations is being considered by the Clinton City Council. The issue was delayed at the latest meeting to allow time to notify residents along the suggested streets and to hold a public hearing.
Council members Cody Seeley and Ron Mussman voiced support for notifying the residents along those streets.
Public Works Director Brian Lemke says the list was prepared by the department and were considered too narrow for firetrucks, garbage trucks and similar vehicles.
Lemke says they will manage – what ever the decision would be.
The City Council will set the public hearing date on the topic during their meeting on Wednesday.
