The challenge of mystery-solving and criminal justice is a popular topic for movies and series for live streaming in the entertainment world today. But how does dental forensics truly aid in modern day investigations? Find out from the experts. Volunteer millers will be hosting Traci (VanderPloeg) Kraemer, a current dental assistant, who will explain the role of forensics in the field of dentistry.
Traci has been in the dental industry for30-plus years and is currently working in a general dentistry practice in Normal, IL. Her expertise and interest in forensics make her uniquely qualified to speak about dental forensics. She has taken classes on this subject and is eager to provide some insight into this aspect of dentistry. While a few landmark crimes and mass casualty cases will be discussed, the presentation itself is not gory and will give insight into this fascinating area of interest.
The presentation will take place at the Windmill Cultural Center on Sunday, October 8 at 2:00pm. The Center is located at 111- 10th Avenue Fulton, across from the authentic Dutch windmill.
