DES MOINES – Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate will present the Carrie Chapman Catt Award to Camanche High School and Prince of Peace Catholic School on Thursday, January 4. The award goes to any school that registers at least 90% of eligible students to vote.
Camanche High School registered 96% of eligible senior students as part of the Carrie Chapman Catt Award. They are one of 118 high schools who have signed up to participate in the program, and one of 20 high schools who have met the requirements to be awarded the Carrie Chapman Catt Award this year. This is the high school’s first year receiving the award.
