Tuesday, February 13th ~ Animals in Love ~ 5 PM ~ Mississippi River Eco Tourism Center, Rock Creek Marina and Campground (3942 291st St. Camanche, IA) ~ With Valentines’ Day around the corner, come learn about what love looks like for local wildlife. We will explore the different courtship strategies for animals in Iowa and around the world. We will be reading a story and doing crafts. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

There will also be
Eagle Watching at Lock #13, 4999 Lock Road, Fulton, IL from 8:30-2:30 PM, Dress for weather but there will be a warming station, light refreshments while supplies last. An 11-passenger ADA Accessible bus will be on a continuous route between locations.
Saturday, February 24th ~ Winter Fun Day ~ 9 am-12pm ~ Rock Creek ~ Since it is unknown of what nature gives us, we are going to be flexible. If the there is an impromptu snow and ultra cold weather, we will be doing xc skiing, snowshoeing and ice fishing. If it is unseasonably warm, we will be doing things like maple syrup tapping, geocaching, s’more making. No matter the weather, there will be live animal show and share, crafts, games and prizes inside. All for FREE!!

The Clinton County Conservation Foundation is a nonprofit organization that supports environmental education for the people in our area! They provide bus scholarships to schools for field trips, help fund the Blue Heron Eco Cruise, enhance our nature centers and much more! Saturday, March 2nd ~ Wildness Art Project Opening Reception ~ 2-4pm ~ Mississippi River Eco Tourism Center, Rock Creek ~ Over a year in the making, Clinton County Conservation family is excited to share with you the true colors of nature brought to you by abstract artist Gabriella Torres and Naturalist Jessica Steines. Mingle with fellow art and conservation lovers, viewing over 65 gorgeous large silk panels colored by plants all collected in Clinton County while enjoying hors d’oeuvres by D-lectable D-Lites of Fulton, enjoying beverages and listening to local musician Joshua Mussmann. Feel free to completely immerse yourself in the 65 + large panels of natural dyed silk with the creative renderings of local and worldwide known abstract artist Gabriella Torres using natural pigments collected only in Clinton County!
