On Monday, March 18, 2024, D.W. Zinser Company, Inc. will begin mobilizing at the site of the 1000 block of South 4th Street.
On Monday, March 25, 2024, D.W. Zinser Company, Inc. will begin the RACM cleanup of the rubble at 1000, 1002, 1004, and 1006-1008 South 4th Street as well as the RACM Demolition of 1010-1012 South 4th Street.
Demolition and cleanup are projected to take 3-4 weeks. During this time, parking will not be permitted on the street in the 400 block of 10th Avenue South. Traffic will remain open on South 4th Street. The public is encouraged to avoid the area, if possible.
D.W. Zinser Company, Inc. will be completing the cleanup and demolition in accordance with all State and Federal regulations and Blackstone Environmental will be onsite to monitor the cleanup and demolition process.
This project is funded and made possible by President Joe Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (EPA Brownfields Cleanup Grant), the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (Community Assistance Grant), and ECIA Brownfields Coalition Revolving Loan Funds.
