This morning at approximately 10:15 a.m., while during the demolition of a mill scrubber located near ADM’s corn processing complex in Clinton, ADM employees detected a fire that originated from materials inside the mill scrubber. ADM officials quickly notified the Clinton Fire Department for assistance, and employees were evacuated from the facility as a precaution. Firefighters were able to quickly contain the resulting fire and no one was injured. Damage assessment is ongoing along with investigation of the cause. ADM appreciated the quick response and assistance from the Clinton Fire Department.
