Tentative schedule of meetings, etc. this week

Lights On After School rally, Camanche School Board, Fulton & Camanche City Council are some of the meetings this week plus IA Lit. Governor to visit town in this rundown of events.

Monday will be ‘Lights On After School event for the Clinton School District. The after-school program will host the rally featuring former and current program participants, local legislators, school administrators and other education officials and community members.
The public is also invited to the event which will be September 15th from 5 to 7 pm at the Riverview Park Bandshell.
The after school rallies are focused on encouraging continued funding of the programs

The Camanche School Board is meeting on Monday.
It will be the annual reorganization meeting with the election of the board president and vice-president.
The Camanche School Board will discuss the voter approved Physical Plant and Equipment Levy,


The Fulton City Council meets Monday in a regular business session. Among the agenda items is action for a proposed condominium development at the marina.
The meeting starts at 5:30 at city hall.


The Clinton County Board will be meeting Tuesday afternoon in DeWitt instead of the usual Monday session.
The meeting will be held at the new county satellite office at 1:30.
An open house and ribbon cutting is planned at the new offices on Tuesday afternoon. The open house is from 3 to 6 pm with a ribbon cutting at 4 pm.

The Camanche City Council meets Tuesday evening in a regular business session. The council will hear a proclamation about September being Great River Road Month and discuss changing the Great River Road route through Camanche.


Iowa Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds is scheduled to make a stop in Clinton on Tuesday. She has a tour of Air Control scheduled for September 16th.
