Phase I and II of Fiber Project with Miles Communications LLC Completed

One of the City of Clinton’s top planning priorities has been for Clinton residents, businesses, and institutions to have access to high-speed reliable internet services. To that end, we’re excited that Miles Communications LLC just completed Phase I and II fiber optic installs that connects all the City, School and County buildings but also provides a ring of fiber around the City of Clinton.

Miles Communication is preparing to embark on their next phase to radically upgrade Clinton’s internet infrastructure. The project will not only deliver extraordinary internet speeds to Clinton homes and businesses, but it will also be the backbone for economic development and will digitally sustain a City of Clinton infrastructure footprint that closes the digital divide, ensuring that all residents and business can have high speed internet access.

Miles Communications will be extending their fiber optic network throughout the City from 2024-2028 in a 5 phased approach. The plan is to run 90 miles of underground fiber optic cable and reach areas that show a genuine want for being connected. The estimated total investment is around $30 million. The project is funded locally by Clinton National Bank, Citizens First Bank, and First Central State Bank.

Miles Communications prides themselves on being local and reinvesting back into the communities they serve. For more information reach out to Miles Communications LLC at 563-682-7111.
