Structure Fire

The Clinton Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at North Bridge Mini Storage 2021 McKinley Street. All units responded emergent from Central Fire Station. Camanche was dispatched as RIT. Clinton Fire Department responded with 2 ladder trucks, 1 Engine, 3 Ambulances, and Command. Upon arrival there was heavy smoke and flames showing from one of the storage buildings. A second alarm was called for off duty members to cover the city, and 6 people came in. Crews made a coordinated quick attack and had the fire under control within minutes after arriving on scene. At 3:30 pm Loss Stop was declared and at that time the scene was turned over to investigations. The value of the structure involved was $170,000 and the amount that was saved is $130,000. During the firefighting activities 2 firefighters sustained minor injuries, one was seen at the ER, and both remained on shift. The Clinton Fire Department was assisted by the Camanche Fire Department, Clinton Police Department, and Servpro. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
