Structure Fire

On 09/19/2024 at 2343, Clinton County Communications received a 911 call of a structure fire at 1984 110th
Ave, approximately 3 miles northwest of Wheatland.

Upon arrival, a Clinton County Deputy and the caller noticed a corn crib was totally involved in fire. The house,
which sits to the south of the corn crib, is a family dwelling with a three-car attached garage on the north side
of the residence.

The Deputy, the caller, and a family member who arrived on scene, entered the house and woke the family
sleeping inside and advised them of the fire. All three assisted in helping the family which consisted of three
children and 2 adults exit the residence. There were no injuries to the family members.

Wheatland Fire was assisted at the scene by Wheatland Ambulance, Lowden Fire, and Lost Nation Fire.
The fire is under investigation by Wheatland Fire and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.
