A ribbon cutting ceremony with Grow Clinton to celebrate the grand opening of the new MTA bus station building will occur at 8:00 A.M. on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 134 6th Avenue South. The building will be open to the public once the ceremony concludes.
The building houses a climate-controlled, indoor waiting area for bus patrons. The waiting area will have a digital display showing bus schedules and locations. The structure is ADA accessible. The building also houses a breakroom and restrooms for bus drivers.
Opening of this building is the first time in 50 years that bus patrons will be able to wait for buses at the transfer point inside a climate-controlled building.
The City expresses its appreciation to Clinton Engineering for completing this project.
To celebrate the grand opening of the MTA bus station building, all fixed route bus rides will be free Friday, November 8, 2024.
