On Saturday, November 9, 2024, beginning at 1:30 p.m., Morrison Historical Society invites the public to honor its home town Drag Racing legend, Arnie Beswick. The venue is Ebenezer Reformed Church, 309 E. Park Street, Morrison, IL. Those who own fan gear are encouraged to wear it. After the program, there will be refreshments; items for purchase–including the Dean Fait biography “Arnie ‘The Farmer’ Beswick”; time to view Beswick memorabilia; outside viewing of one or two of his dragsters [weather permitting.]
Directions are from U. S. Highway 30: Turn south onto Genesee Street; proceed to E. South Street and turn left; proceed two blocks to the parking lot behind Ebenezer Reformed Church. Church entry is convenient via automatic doors and an elevator to the upper floor.
