On December 12,2024, at approximately 1:37 A.M., the Dewitt Police Department and Clinton County
SherifFs Office responded to a report of a gunshot victim that was brought into the Emergency Department of
Mercy-One Genesis (Dewitt) in a private vehicle. The adult male, who was transported to Mercy-One Genesis,
was pronounced dead upon arrival at hospital. The Clinton County Sheriffs Office ls treating the case as a
homicide investigation.
The victim has been identified as: Theodore H. Fox, age 23

The case remains under investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff s Office and the lowa Division of Criminal
lnvestigations. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the DeWitt Police Department, Scott County
Sheriffs Office, lowa State Patrol and the Clinton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
