On Friday, February 7, 2025, at approximately 12:10 p.m. Clinton County Deputies were dispatched to the 1300 block of 130th Avenue for a report of brush fire and a male who had sustained burns. Deputies arrived and found a male on the ground with significant burns on his body. The male was transported by air ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital. The fire was extinguished by Lost Nation and Wheatland Fire Departments.
The incident remains under investigation by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Lost Nation Fire Department, the Wheatland Fire Department, Wheatland Ambulance, Genesis Ambulance, and Med-Force Air Ambulance.
