Thomson- A mid-winter banquet will be held on Saturday, February 22nd. The Sportsman’s Banquet is hosted by the Mississippi Flyway Waterfowlers to raise money for conservation. The event includes a meal, live auction, silent auction and many raffles. Organizers plan on a large lady’s raffle and there will be activities for kids. A deer hunters raffle will include a deer ground blind and equipment. A waterfowlers raffle will include guns and gear for waterfowl hunting. A live auction is planned and will feature collectables, Terry Redlin wildlife prints, decoys and sporting goods. For the hunter who wants an all-around dog. The auction will feature a German Shorthair Pointer poodle. These dogs are not only good upland and waterdogs but are known to be used to find deer and sheds.
