The Clinton Fire Department (CFD) responded to a structure fire at 3000 Skyline Drive following multiple reports of a back porch on fire. While crews were en route, occupants began evacuating the residence. CFD responded with 12 personnel, including two ladder trucks, one engine, two ambulances, and a command vehicle.
The fire was extinguished using two hand lines and was under control in 25 minutes. Alliant Energy responded and secured the utilities. Clinton Police Department assisted with traffic control. Red Cross was contacted and is providing emergency assistance to the family. Public works assisted with barricades.
