School Board to discuss budget cuts & council to receive latest audit report among the meetings this week-The Clinton School Board will be meeting Monday in a special work session to discuss budget cuts. The Administration has proposed one-point-two million dollars in cuts to match expenses with revenues for the next school year.
The Board has held public input sessions and will meet at 5 o’clock Monday at the Administration Center to further discuss the plans.

The Fulton City Council meets on Monday in a regular business session.
The council will consider a proposal from an operation interested in leasing the boat repair space at the Fulton Marina for a boat repair business and related operations.

The Clinton County Board meets in a regular session on Tuesday morning at 9:15.

The Clinton City Council has a regularly scheduled Committee Of The Whole session on Tuesday.
The council will hear about the audit covering the 2014 fiscal year.
The council will also consider the hiring process for a new police chief with the retirement of Chief Brian Guy at the end of April. City Administrator Jessica Kinser suggests using a consulting firm to help recruit candidates for the position. The local Civil Service Commission in conjunction with the consultant’s review would submit a list of certified candidates.

The Camanche City Council meets on Tuesday evening. The council will hold a public hearing on a proposed city budget and then consider approval of the budget. The session starts at 6 P-M at the Camanche City Hall.

The County Conference Board – which oversees the County Assessor’s office – will meet on Tuesday evening.
The board will will hold a public hearing on the budget for the office and adopt the budget. The panel will also consider the possible resignation of the County Assessor.

The week on Wednesday the Clinton Plan Commission will hold a regular session at 4 P-M.

Businesses interested in working with the new Federal Prison in Thomson, Illinois have a chance to learn about that process. On Wednesday afternoon there will be an informational meeting for area businesses. Information will be provided on instructions on conducting business with the prison including the federal procurement process.
The open-house event will start at one o’clock at the prison in Thomson.
